生活型

形態特徵
- A shrub or small tree; branchlets stout, the young branchlets sparsely pilose.
- Leaves coriaceous, glabrous, ovate to ovate-oblong, 6–9 cm long, 4–5 cm broad, short acute to acuminate or obtuse at apex, obtuse to acute at base, remotely few dentate, rarely subentire, the teeth large, 2 to 10 per side, sometimes 2 or 3 toward the upper margins only, acute, up to 4–5 mm long and 7–8 mm broad at base, the midrib impressed above, much raised beneath, the lateral veins 5–7 per side, arcuate-ascending; petioles about 1 cm long.
- Inflorescence an axillary or terminal raceme, 3–5 cm long, often pubescent, the pedicels 2–4 mm long, spreading; petals white, lanceolate, about 2.5 mm long and 1 mm broad.
- Capsules 5–6 mm long, about 2 mm across at base, slightly pubescent, with persistent sepals.
分布
- 台灣 : in thickets at low medium altitudes in the northern part.
- 世界 : The Ryukyus.
